eco-classrooms has picked up the Value Award for 2013 at Winners' East of England's Constructing Excellence Awards.
This award underpins one of our core values - to deliver cost-effective buildings whilst not comprising on our high quality design and craftmanship. It reinforces our achievements in delivering value for money on a number of projects over a period of time. To achieve the Value Award, we demonstrated how our eco-classrooms deliver maximum benefits and best outcome for our end users - staff, pupils and patients alike. The judges reflected on how our customers were involved throughout the process, especially at the initial design stage to create a healthy and productive environment.
A recent paper published cites examples from the Education Funding Agency priority school building low cost programme. This paper illustrated and recommended that total construction costs for the Primary Schools totalled an average of £1474 per m2 excluding additional costs such as design, planning and EPC fees. This Value Award reinforces the fact that eco-classrooms' build green classrooms for notably less than these figures recommended.
